Why we're building thisPlant Cortex started from a simple observation: every plant already has the knowledge it needs, written down in manuals nobody has time to search. The fix isn't a smarter chatbot — it's one that never leaves the document.
Plant Cortex is early — one live pilot deployment, a founder-led team, and a product built through direct, hands-on iteration with the people who actually use it every shift. That's a deliberate choice, not a limitation to apologize for: every feature on this site is live and running today, not a roadmap slide dressed up as a product.
It's also built for a workforce that's changing fast — people on the same floor work in very different ways. Voice input, a QR code stuck on the machine, and an app that installs like anything else on their phone weren't add-ons; they were the actual requirement, not a nice-to-have.
The approach is the same one used to build every register and every safety feature in the app: check the real data before trusting an assumption, log a gap honestly instead of guessing past it, and never ship something that only looks like it works.
Every one of these was designed, built, and deployed to the live pilot in the same session — proof this is founder-led and hands-on, not a claim about it.
A per-equipment or per-plant rate you set once — never estimated — now turns every stoppage into an actual cost figure a manager can put in a budget request.
Search a machine and see its tagged manuals and drawings, its live MTBF/MTTR/availability, and every open record against it — one page, not four searches.
Five customer-efficiency wins shipped in one pass, each reusing data already collected — nothing new to learn.
Found during a whole-project security pass and fixed the same day — answer rendering is now sanitized against injected content everywhere it's shown.
Every manual and drawing now tags to a department → machine → component hierarchy, the foundation the Equipment landing page above is built on.
A repeatable, step-by-step procedure grounded in the manuals, with a "suggest a change" loop that re-checks the manuals before any step is edited.
Speak a question instead of typing it, or scan a code stuck on the equipment to land straight on its own questions.
Closed a real gap found during a security review — accounts now lock out after repeated failed attempts.
The reliability math (MTBF/MTTR) already runs on every logged stoppage — next is real sensor/historian data feeding a real "this is trending toward a failure" signal, not a guess.
A leaner, one-handed layout for a technician standing at the machine — voice and QR already work there; this is the rest of the UI catching up.
Once more than one site is live, compare reliability and safety metrics across plants — the same honest, no-invented-numbers discipline, just at a bigger scale.
Purchase requests are tracked end to end today but stand alone — next is syncing that lifecycle with your existing ERP or procurement system, both directions.
The OPC-UA engineering is proven against a public test server — next is a safe, on-prem connection to a real plant's own historian.
Building Plant Cortex hands-on — from the retrieval pipeline to sitting with operators reviewing what the app got wrong. Every session's changes are documented and shipped the same day.
